Yep, that’s a bacon donut!

Nick got me a “present” last Friday.  He picked me up a bacon, maple donut while out at lunch.

I know what you’re thinking.  That sounds gross.  Or if you’re like me, you’re thinking, holy crap, that sounds like the best invention e.v.e.r.  I don’t know about you, but I dip my bacon in maple syrup.  Don’t judge.  If you’re already eating that may calories and that much fat, why not thoroughly enjoy the artery clogging goodness?

Back to the donut.  I have some friends that are awkwardly obsessed with bacon.  Have you heard of the bacon-of-the-month club?  They bought it for a friend’s wedding gift.  My bacon obsessed friend had mentioned this oh-so-tasty-sounding donuts awhile back and I decided I needed to try one.

Kudos to Nick for remembering I wanted one.  Not-so-kudos for Nick for giving me said donut in front of half a dozen friends, forcing me to share the donut 6 ways.

It was quite tasty and I sort of wish I didn’t have to share.  Pretty sure a maple, bacon cupcake is next 🙂
