Christmas in your mouth

It’s the middle of summer and I just finished buying too many sweaters at the nordstrom sale.  I guess I must have winter on the brain.  And I blame Trader Joes for that!

About a month ago I was introduced to TJ’s Cookie Butter.  I was told it was difficult to find – as it often flies off the shelves immediately.  While shopping at TJ’s about a week ago, I saw the cookie butter and decided to buy a jar.

So what’s cookie butter?  It’s difficult to explain.  It’s the consistency of peanut butter, but tastes liked gingerbread.  The best way to describe it is “Christmas in your mouth.”

What can you do with the creamy version of Christmas?  What can’t you do is a better question!

My 2 favorites?  Use it as pretzel dip (btw, the thin pretzel crisps are amazingly better than regular pretzels).  And put it on waffles (don’t forget the syrup).  We tried it on s’mores….but the jury is still out.  Some of us thought it beat out nutella, others decided to stick with the tried and true favorite.

We recently put it on graham crackers because we were out of pretzels.

If you like to read labels and ingredients……there’s nothing good for you here.  BUT, it’s better than JIF peanut butter.  And it’s amazing.
