No, it really did hurt

I’ve got a tiny bandaid to prove it!

I’m all about managing expectations these days.

On Friday some co-workers decided to get flu shots.  Somehow they convinced me that I should get them.  “It won’t hurt.”  “It doesn’t hurt at all.”  That’s what they said.

Please.

We went to the clinic and you better believe the flu shot needle was huge!  And trust me, it stung.  I mean, I didn’t need to cry or anything.  But when people say “I didn’t feel a thing.”  I think they are big fat liars.  I barely felt it when she stuck me with the needle, but it stung when she (slowly) squirted the flu-fighting-juce into my arm.  Oh, and it was sore all weekend.  I’m a baby.  I know that.  I’m just saying that people should be honest.

“It’ll sting a little and you might be sore for a few days, but it’s better than the flu.”
